El Miracle, a monastery among vineyards and cheeses
GUIDED JOURNEY TO THE RURAL BAROQUE
The Miracle Sanctuary, in the geographic center of Catalonia, opens to the traveler with a unique offer: spirituality, restoration and local products. The architectural complex of the Miracle is formed by the Convent of Benedictine monks that gathers on the east facade the wine cellar "Viñas del Solsonès" and the cheese factory; the Church with its baroque altarpiece, the most important in Catalonia, the Restaurant, the Cells and the Tourist Office; the "Casa Gran" with the baroque space and the natural space.
High altitude vineyards
With a plantation of 3500 vines of Merlot and at 850 meters high, Jordi Molner has built a winery to experience the local or imported varieties such as "Pinot Noir" from Alsace. Together with the cheese factory he organizes tastings and pairings on weekends.
Hotel and catering industry
The hostel, the cells for pilgrims, the products of proximity. Everything is ready orchestrated by Manel and his family to enjoy an honest cuisine, of proximity and to be able to taste the products that the land gives us: ratafia, honey, mushrooms, cheese, wine.
Baroque space and natural space
The Solsonès conserves the five most important baroque groups in Catalonia. The altarpiece of the Miracle, work of the sculptors Morató, is the most spectacular. In "Casa Gran" of the Baroque Space, it places the visitor in the time of the altarpieces, the sanctuaries, the surrounding rural landscapes. Culture from the 17th and 18th centuries.
